FEEL NO GUILT
CBD vs. THC
The plant has some compounds that have psychoactive effects (altered perception and mood modification) and others do not. Among the first are delta-9-THC, CBN (cannabinol), and delta-8-THC, with different powers and concentrations in the plant, the most potent and abundant being delta-9-THC. These compounds are responsible for producing the effects sought by recreational users, i.e. “Travel”.
On the contrary, while CBD is a compound that acts on the central nervous system and is therefore psychotropic, it does not have the psychoactive effects of THC. On the contrary, it antagonizes the psychotomimetic (psycho-similes) effects that it produces.
Adverse Effects of CBD
Among the adverse effects, usually mild to moderate, when CBD is used in therapeutic doses, there may be feeling tired, sleepiness, dry mouth, headaches, dizziness, and decreased appetite. They generally improve with CBD dose reduction and disappear upon discontinuation.
